Changes to the ACCA Professional Level Exams

P Levels have changed :)
P Levels have changed :)

Hello again everyone

This post is to provide help to ACCA students.

As you are all aware, ACCA are changing the structure of the Porfessional Level exams.

In a nutshell, this means the following for you:

  1. P1 will no longer be examined, but students will have to complete a 20 hour online "ethics" course
  2. P2 & P3 will be combined
  3. Students will still choose 2 from 4 of P4, P5, P6 & P7

These appear to be the specific bits that are changing (per ACCA):

Strategic Business Leader (old P3) - an innovative case study exam, based on a relaistic business scenario.  This gives students the skills and technical expertise required by modern business where decisions need to be made, measured and effectively communicated to the wider organisation.

Strategic Business Reporting (old P2) - a new exam exposing students to the wider context of finance and business reporting, giving them vital skills needed to explain and communicate to stakeholders the implications of transactions and reporting.

An Ethics and Professional Skills module - Making modifications to the existing ethics modules, which ACCA was the first professional body to offer to students in 2008.  This new mdule will equip students with the professionalo skills that are needed in the modern workplace.
